We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available at My Sister’s House. Volunteers can help with office work and special events, or work directly with clients by serving as Domestic Violence Advocates.

My Sister’s House Treasures Associate – Duties include customer service, stocking shelves, light house-keeping, and cashiering. 

My Sister’s Cafe Team Member – Duties include light meal prep, cleaning, washing dishes, creating hot and cold drinks, customer service, and cashiering duties.

Tabling Events – Duties will include attending events where you will be speaking with the community about our programs and services that are provided for our clients.  Displaying flyers or handing flyers out to people in the community about our Cafe and Treasures.  Some events may require you to pick up table materials at our office that may include but are not limited to: brochures and flyers, a canopy, tables, and chairs.

Domestic Violence Advocacy Training; Crisis Line and Legal Clinic Volunteers – Fall Domestic Violence Advocacy Training will begin on September 10th – October 8th.  This is a 40 hour training, 5 consecutive Saturdays in a row plus 4 hours of crisis line training in the office.  This training is mandatory by the State of California to answer the 24/7 multilingual crisis line.  It is also required to assist with our legal department.
