Important information about maintaining privacy and safety while using the internet.

Your abuser can monitor your computer use, and it is difficult to hide your internet activities. If you are in danger, please use a safer computer, call our 24-hour help line (916) 428-3271, or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at (800) 799-SAFE.

To ensure that your online activities are not discovered by your abuser, you must use a computer that your abuser cannot access, such as a computer at a public library, internet café, or at a trusted friend's home.
