THANK YOU for your Support to
My Sister's House 11th Annual Gala!

crest theater

My Sister's House 11th Annual Gala at the Crest Theatre was very successful with more than 650 people in attendance. This year's theme of "Stop! In the Name of Love" was a huge hit. Performances from The Supremes, The Partridge Family, Luciano Pavarotti, and The Village People (to name a few) rocked the house! We also honored Asian Resources, Inc. and California Chief Justice Tani Gorre Cantil-Sakauye as this year's Heroes of Hope, for their work and contributions to helping stop the cycle of violence.

We are truly grateful that this year's gala raised more than $80,000 to help My Sister's House provide shelter, a 24/7 multi-lingual Help Line, a Women to Work Program which includes counseling and legal assistance, and outreach and education to help prevent domestic violence.

We would like to especially thank our amazing Event committee for their dedication and leadership:

Honorary Co-Chairs
Betty Yee, Board of Equalization and Assemblymember Mike Eng

Event Board Chair
Gloria Megino Ochoa

Event Committee Members
Corrine Yee Joe, Moira Sharma, Sitra T., Glenn Takeoka, Ron Tom, Betsy Uda,
Nilda Valmores, and Darrel "H" Woo

Very special thanks to Sharon Gerber of Six Degreez
for producing this year's Gala. Her energy, creativity and enthusiasm resulted in a truly memorable evening.

Last, but certainly not least, My Sister's House is very thankful to our wonderful volunteers and donors. All of your hard work and generosity made this event possible.

We couldn't have done it without you!
